Our Range of Global Bread Knives

Global has 3 bread knives available, each is useful in their own way. Technically you could use one bread knife for all bread, however, this will not give as clean a look or make the job of slicing easier for you.

Bagel / Sandwich Knife 16cm

If you are a lover of rolls and bagels, the 16cm Global Bagel / Sandwich Knife is for you.

Bread Knife 22cm

If you don’t eat much melon or artisanal bread and prefer slices from a bread loaf, then the 22cm Global Bread Knife is perfect.

Bread Knife 27cm

Perfect for artisanal or sourdough bread lovers. This knife also makes cutting through melons and gourds a breeze.

Global’s Classic 27cm Bread Knife is not your average bread knife and is perfect for artisanal or sourdough bread lovers. Often these loaves of bread are an unusual shape, like round for example, with an extra thick crust. The 27cm Classic Bread knife makes these loaves so much easier to cut without maximum effort and bread cut so badly you wish you had just bitten it into pieces. The kind your ancient and blunt current household bread knife produces. It is also the perfect knife for slicing melons and gourds. Just imagine not having to break a sweat or pay a small fortune into the swear jar when cutting a watermelon to perfection.

If you don’t eat much melon or artisanal bread and prefer slices from a bread loaf, then the 22cm Global Bread Knife is perfect. It will cut perfect slices without tearing your bread, whether it has a thick or soft crust.

If you are a lover of rolls and bagels, the 16cm Global Bagel/ Sandwich Knife is for you. With a shorter blade, this knife is easier to manoeuvre, making cutting with one hand into your bagel holding hand a lot simpler and safer. The diagonal design of the 16cm Global Bagel/ Sandwich knife, as opposed to the long straight 27cm Bread Knife, takes into account the angle needed to cut a bagel or roll to not cut the whole way through, but leave the end intact, for easier bagel construction and consumption. This also takes into account the angle of your hand and places the thicker section of the blade where your wrist has the most force, making the task even easier.

All Global Bread knives have hygienic handles with a signature dimple pattern that offers a comfortable, slip-resistant grip. Whichever Global Bread Knife you choose, they will all hold their sharp serrated edges far longer than other steel knives and will cut neatly and evenly, slice after slice. Even when slicing something a little more daring, a little more dangerous, like perhaps a pineapple, for example…
